Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Aquipax, a financial wellbeing application provided by JeanieIQ, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Aquipax is a personal financial planning tool that helps you map your financial year and understand what you can safely spend each month. The app is provided with a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription.

Aquipax is a planning and budgeting tool only. It is not regulated financial advice. The safe-to-spend number and all calculations are estimates based on the information you provide. Always seek professional financial advice for major financial decisions.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use Aquipax
• You must be resident in the United Kingdom
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• One account per person — accounts are non-transferable

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. JeanieIQ cannot and will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account. Notify us immediately at hello@jeanieiq.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to interfere with the service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the app on behalf of another person without their knowledge
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app

5. Financial information disclaimer

Aquipax provides tools to help you organise and plan your personal finances. The information and calculations provided by the app are for planning purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, tax or investment advice.

JeanieIQ is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The safe-to-spend number is a personal estimate based on data you provide — it may not reflect your actual financial position. You should always verify important financial decisions with a qualified professional.

6. Ask Jeanie AI assistant

The "Ask Jeanie" feature uses artificial intelligence to provide general guidance based on the financial information you have entered into Aquipax. Jeanie's responses are not regulated financial advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice. JeanieIQ accepts no liability for decisions made based on Jeanie's responses.

7. Receipt scanning

The receipt scanning feature uses artificial intelligence to extract and compare prices. Price comparisons are sourced from live supermarket data and may not reflect all available prices or current promotions. JeanieIQ does not guarantee the accuracy of price comparisons and accepts no liability for purchasing decisions made based on scan results.

By scanning a receipt, you confirm you have the right to upload that receipt image. Receipt images are processed and immediately discarded — only the extracted text data is stored.

8. Premium subscription

If you subscribe to Aquipax Plus or Family:

• Payment is processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card details
• A 7-day free trial is offered on first subscription — no charge during the trial period
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase under UK consumer law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
• Plus: £4.99/month or £39.99/year · Family: £4.99/month or £39.99/year

9. Intellectual property

The Aquipax name, logo, design and code are owned by JeanieIQ. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the app without written permission. Your financial data belongs to you — we do not claim ownership of data you enter.

10. Availability & changes

We aim to keep Aquipax available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will endeavour to give 30 days' notice of significant changes or discontinuation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, JeanieIQ's liability for any claim arising from use of Aquipax is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data, or loss of income.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where possible. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
